Underachieving and getting paid millions to do it.

Ladies and Gentlemen, your 2008 Chicago Bears!

What's a 4-letter word for failure to perform at an acceptable level? Ah, got it. B-E-A-R-S.

Whatdya, know, it fits and meshes perfectly with #18 down, which is what team will be drafting 18th after a disappointing 2008 season.

Bears=fail. Don't forget it. I hate rooting for this team sometimes. It's like rooting for a former buddy to get to third base with your ex. Sure, in some ways you're happy for the both of them, but overall, you're just sad.

But I'm not bitter. Happy 2k9, folks. We did it, we made it another year. I'm older, grayer, and possibly a little wiser. That remains to be seen.

  1. With that defense, they're one part away (maybe two: the Ravens got far with the rookie Flacco and a beat up Willis McGahee). Just a lil'bit of offense and that defense can carry them to 7 wins at least.

Right now I'm rooting for the Cardinals: if they can win, one of us other bottom dwellers can turn it around too :P
